Below are answers to the most commonly asked questions about salvation, Jesus Christ, heaven, hell, and the King James Bible. All answers are based entirely on the Word of God — the King James Bible (KJV).
Salvation is the free gift of eternal life given by God to all who place their faith in Jesus Christ. It is deliverance from sin and its penalty — eternal death in Hell — and the receiving of everlasting life in Heaven.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." ~ Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
You get saved by placing your complete faith and trust in Jesus Christ — believing that He died for your sins, was buried, and rose again. Salvation is not earned by good works or religion but received as a free gift through faith.
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." ~ Acts 16:31 KJV

No. The Bible is clear that once you are truly saved, you are always saved. God seals every believer with the Holy Spirit and your salvation is eternally secure in Jesus Christ.
"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." ~ John 10:28 KJV
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." ~ Romans 8:38-39 KJV
No. Baptism does not save you. Salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone. Baptism is an outward act of obedience that follows salvation — it is a public declaration of your faith but it is not required for eternal life.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." ~ Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
The thief on the cross was never baptized yet Jesus told him: "To day shalt thou be with me in paradise." ~ Luke 23:43 KJV
The Sinner's Prayer is a prayer in which you express your faith in Jesus Christ as your Saviour. It is not a magic formula but an expression of the faith God has placed in your heart. Visit our Sinner's Prayer page to learn more and pray to receive Christ.
The word "Gospel" means "good news." The Gospel is the message that Jesus Christ — the Son of God — died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures. It is the only message that can save a soul from Hell and give eternal life.
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" ~ 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV
Yes. The Bible is absolutely clear that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. There is no other path, no other name, no other religion that can save a soul.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." ~ John 14:6 KJV
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." ~ Acts 4:12 KJV
Heaven is a real place — the eternal home of all who believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is described in the Bible as a place of no more death, no more sorrow, no more pain, where believers will dwell with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ forever.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." ~ Revelation 21:4 KJV
Hell is a real place of torment where all who die without trusting Jesus Christ as their Saviour will be sent. The Bible describes Hell as a lake of fire — the second death — where the unsaved will spend eternity separated from God.
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." ~ Revelation 20:14-15 KJV
The Bible teaches that at the moment of death, the soul of every person goes to one of two places. The soul of a saved believer goes immediately to be with the Lord in Heaven. The soul of an unsaved person goes to Hell awaiting the final judgment.
"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." ~ 2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV
"And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments..." ~ Luke 16:23 KJV
Jesus Christ is the Son of God — God manifest in the flesh. He was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect sinless life, died on the cross bearing the sins of all mankind, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead three days later. He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is the only Saviour of mankind.
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." ~ 1 Timothy 3:16 KJV
Yes. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most well-documented event in ancient history. After His crucifixion and burial, Jesus rose bodily from the dead on the third day and appeared to over 500 witnesses. The resurrection is the cornerstone of the Christian faith and the proof that Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be.
"And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once..." ~ 1 Corinthians 15:4-6 KJV
The King James Bible (KJV) is the only English Bible translated from the Textus Receptus — the preserved Traditional Text used by the first Christians in Antioch. All other modern English Bibles are translated from the Alexandrian Text which contains over 5,788 changes from the original. Visit our KJV Only page for a full explanation.
Sin is the transgression of God's law. Anything that violates God's holy standard — in thought, word, or deed — is sin. The Bible says that every person has sinned and that the penalty for sin is death and eternal separation from God.
"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." ~ 1 John 3:4 KJV
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" ~ Romans 3:23 KJV
The Trinity is the Biblical doctrine that God eternally exists as three distinct persons — the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit — yet is one God. All three persons of the Trinity are co-equal, co-eternal, and co-identical in nature and attributes.
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." ~ 1 John 5:7 KJV
Soul winning is the act of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with unsaved people with the goal of leading them to salvation. Every born again Christian is commanded by Jesus to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Visit our Soul Winning page to learn how to share the Gospel.
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." ~ Mark 16:15 KJV
