What Is The Gospel Of Your Salvation?

In the Old Testament, God gives us his Laws, including the 10 Commandments.  God expects you to follow all of the Laws at all times. In the Bible, sin is defined as the transgression of any of God's Laws. The Bible says no one is perfect and therefore, unable to keep all of the Laws. 

Romans 3:10 KJV ~ As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 

 Romans 3:23 KJV ~ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

 James 2:10 KJV ~ For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 

According to God, unless you are perfect, you are a sinner. 

 The Bible says a sinner will be sent to Hell as punishment for breaking God's Laws.  After being tormented in Hell, the sinner is judged at the Great White Throne Judgment. The sinner is judged upon all the works (behaviors) that were done in their body.  After the sinner is found guilty before God, their name is removed from the Book of Life. Then the sinner is cast into the Lake of Fire, where their soul is destroyed forever.  The Bible calls this the second death.

Romans 6:23 ~  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 KJV ~  In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

 Revelation 20:14-15 KJV ~ And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. 

Revelation 21:8 KJV ~  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. 

Since you are a sinner condemned to Hell for breaking God's laws, you need a saviour. God out of his infinite love for you, gave you a way out of your punishment. Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, took your punishment for you.  God placed all of the sins you have ever done or will ever do on Jesus Christ.  Jesus was crucified, went to Hell and resurrected three days later.  He paid the punishment for your sins.  It is the only payment for sins God accepts.  

Isaiah 53:5-6 KJV ~ But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Acts 2:31 KJV ~  He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Romans 5:8 ~  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV ~ Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV ~  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 

  
1 John 4:14 KJV ~ And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 

The Bible says salvation is the gift of God, not something that can be earned.  God offers the gift by grace (getting something good you do not deserve). Your good works cannot pay for your sins in order to receive eternal life. By accepting the gift of salvation through faith, you are understanding that your self righteousness cannot save you. Only God's righteousness can save you. Salvation from Hell is not a cooperative effort between you and Jesus. Any works you try to add to Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection nullify grace. 

 Romans 4:5 KJV ~ But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 

Romans 11:16 KJV ~ And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. 

Romans 10:3 KJV ~ For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 

 Galatians 2:21 KJV ~ I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. 

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV ~ For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Jesus did all of the work! All you need to do is to believe the Gospel!

 Jesus Christ was supernaturally begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and is truly, totally God and truly, totally man.  Jesus is the only person to have lived a perfect sinless life.  He is the chosen lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. Because Jesus was sinless, he was able to bear the sins of mankind. The just was killed for the unjust. 

 
 John 3:16 KJV ~ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:36 KJV ~ He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. 

 
John 6:47 KJV ~  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.  

 John 14:6 KJV ~ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 

 Acts 4:12 KJV ~ Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 

 Romans 10:9 KJV ~ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  

 
1 Peter 3:18 KJV For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 

There are not many ways to heaven.  There is only ONE WAY.  Believe the Gospel for everlasting life!
